Vigil
First Appearance: Coup D'Etat #1 SleeperHistory:
The Vigil were the first alien race to ever enter The Bleed, the membrane that separates alternate realities.
Physically, their humanoid forms are several times the size of human beings. The Vigil are considered sacred beings by most intelligent life. Their purpose as a species is to gather information and secretly record everything that happens in the multiverse.
Every few millions years, the Vigil converge on The Gathering, where all of their acquired knowledge is downloaded into their home planet. The events of Coup D'Etat were precipitated by the American government's disruption of their latest Gathering.
