History:
The United Nations (UN) is an international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights and achieving world peace. The UN was founded in 1945 after World War II to replace the League of Nations, to stop wars between countries and to provide a platform for dialogue.


Divisions:

• Special Negotiations Team (Authority Vol 1 #3): Led by Shinya Hoshino

• StormForce (StormWatch Vol 1 #28): StormForce is a United Nations paramilitary combat team that reports to StormWatch. Its members are not superpowered.

• StormWatch (StormWatch Vol 1 #1): The super-powered Crisis Intervention Unit.

• Superhuman Intelligence Unit (The Authority Vol 1 #3): Formerly staffed by Jackson King & Christine Trelane

• Bio-Life Research Center (StormWatch Vol 1 #0)

• Deepcore (StormWatch Team Achilles #4): Deepcore is the long term detention facility for Team Achilles. It is underneath their UN headquarters. The only known SPB 'inmate' was the Egyptian Hamat of "The Bloody Hand of Jihad" who was held there until his death at the hands of Team Achilles member Jaeger Weiss. Deepcore was destroyed along with the rest of Team Achilles's UN headquarters shortly after the arrival of the Authority, who were attempting to apprehend Team Achilles for war crimes.

• SeaWatch (Grifter Vol 1 #10): United Nations oceanic research base located in Santa Monica, California.

• Tranquility Base (Fire From Heaven #1/2): A United Nations base located on the Moon built to replace the StormWatch Command Center that was destroyed by Despot.

• United Nations Accomodations Building (StormWatch Vol 1 #37): The site of Undertow's murder.

• United Nations Maximum Security Facility (Stormwatch Special #2): Located in Tierra Del Fuego. Foster McClane (Flashpoint) was incarcerated there. Malcolm King (Strafe) was also incarcerated there.

• Research Station Zebra (WIldC.A.T.s #1): American research station located in Antarctica. Crash site of the Soviet space station Pustota.
