History
After the hard-fought victory of World War II, America's patriotic superheroes found themselves hounded by the public and media, unable to enjoy their lives under the constant scrutiny and demand for their services. On an otherwise unremarkable power-war mission to the Pacific Northwest, America's premier super-team, the Liberty Squad, became enamoured of a small town called Tranquility, and most members made it their permanent home.

Soon after, all former superheroes and (reformed) supervillains were welcomed to this happy place, where even to this day, crime is virtually non-existent and even former archenemies are given a second chance.
