Bio:
Thomasina Lindo's grandfather was a famous African American hero called the Black Glider, who eventually became an activist for civil rights, and a star of sexy ‘blaxploitation’ films. Decades ago, he disappeared, apparently abandoning Thomasina’s mother, and hasn’t been seen since, and has become a bit of an urban legend like James Dean and Bruce Lee.
As a kid, Thomasina has a real rebel streak, and was in trouble with the law constantly. Her little sister eventually became the new Venus, sidekick to Minxy Millions, the beloved former child aviation genius. But Tommy had a terrible accident, and the sheriff at the time, Presley DuRay, gave her one shot at staying out of jail. While recovering from her accident, she became close with Mr. Articulate, and upon her recovery,
When Presley had a terrible but accidental scandal while in office, Thomasina took his place as sheriff. Her main duties seem to consist of keeping peace when old rivalries flare up or when the more unbalanced inhabitants, such as Minxy Minerva, cause trouble. Rather than use swear words, she frequently uses euphemisms such as "doody", "dang", and "poop".
Tommy has a genuine affection for the people of Tranquility and even though they’re the experienced, superpowered heroes, she feels like she has to be there to protect them.
While Sheriff Lindo has been shown to have a quick temper, she is also an extremely courageous and compassionate person, placing herself in the line of danger to protect others, and showing more patience with the inhabitants of the town than almost anyone. To this end she uses a special baton made by Doctor Tomorrow which has a powerful electric charge on it.
