SPB (Super Powered Being)
SPBs are the Wildstorm Universe's equivalent of mutants (Marvel) and metahumans (DC). SPB is the most used term, and covers any being that has abilities that separate them from normal human beings. SPBs can be aliens, modified (through technology or other means) humans and humans born with genetic differences that grant them powers. Magic-users are generally not counted as SPBs. Two teams tasked with the policing of SPBs are Stormwatch (and all its offshoots) and the National Park Service.
