History:
The Purple Haze is a Bleedscape, non-sentient metagenic variform. Any contact with which is capable of inducing short or long-term mutation in SPBs.

Short-term exposure results in random physical mutations, and the results are temporary and non-lethal.

Long-term exposure (any period in excess of nine hours) does not change the SPB's outward appearance, but rather results in sub-atomic restructuring and genetic realignment. The effects manifest in the loss of any super-human abilities. The effects are reversible within ten days of initial exposure. After that, the SPB will suffer from organ failure, aggressive cancer, and ultimately the loss of all genetic cohesion.
