WildStorm Earth stands on the brink of annihilation as the Reaper Initiative is launched! As The Paladins clash with The Authority in the Nevada desert, a long-lost hero makes a stand against StormWatch to learn the truth behind the Number of the Beast program. How are aliens and atom bombs tied to Armageddon?

SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!
Synopsis:
The Reapers have boarded The Carrier and engaged both The Authority and The Paladins in battle. Jenny Quantum and The Doctor race to the Caged Baby Universe that powers The Carrier in order to keep it away from The Reapers. After kissing The Doctor goodbye, Jenny takes the Baby Universe into herself and disappears. The Doctor desperately tries to stop The Carrier from crashing into the Earth but fails. The mighty Carrier plows into the city of London.

Even with The Carrier down, the heroes aboard it continue their fight against The Reapers inside. Without the ability to generate doors, The Doctor randomly teleports the heroes and The Reapers around the world in a last ditch effort to remove them from The Carrier. Other heroes now engage The Reapers worldwide such as Majestic in Hawaii. He tries to reason with The Reaper who he thinks is the real High, but suddenly The Reaper ceases its attack and flies away, much to Majestic's confusion.

After confronting General McCandless, The High sets out to stop The Reapers. The General tries to rally his people to notify Washington but finds Slyxx has murdered his men and claims that his mission is accomplished.

On Skywatch III, Jackson King tries to rally Stormwatch so they can deal with the crisis at hand. But out in space, they see The Reapers form a circle around the Earth. The High engages one of The Reapers but is only successful in taking a huge chunk out of The Moon during their battle. The High continues his battle in vain as The Reapers reach their activation point and simultaneously detonate.

Massive devastation ensues across the world. The Earth is thrown off it's axis and much of the surface is scorched by the blast. Roughly ninety percent of planet's population is gone. Europe is blanketed in a cloud of darkness, the tropics are stuck in a new ice age, and radiation seeps down through the atmosphere.

The various surviving teams of heroes each rally to the best of their ability.

On Skywatch III, Jackson King rallies Stormwatch together. In the remains of Los Angeles, the Wildcats decide that they must get to Majestic before he succumbs to the maddened state Nemesis saw of him in the future.

Engine Joe and Mago catch up with McCandless and vow to not only make him pay for what he did but also anyone else who was associated with what happened to the world.

Finally, The High sits upon a ruined Statue of Liberty and watches New York City burn and get swallowed up by the Atlantic Ocean. Eidolon joins him and tells him that all of this had to happen. Disgusted with Eidolon's view of the current situation, The High proceeds to grab Eidolon and throws him screaming into the horizon.
