SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT
Synopsis:
Chapter 1
Lynch and his fellow I.O. operatives are fending off a massive assault on I.O headquarters. One of the agents follows protocol and secures Lynch in a bunker (much to his objection). Time passes and the bunker opens to reveal the destruction of the world to Lynch. He resolves that under these new circumstances there's only one thing left to do: kill Tao.

Chapter 2
Lynch recounts the events that led to Tao's creation and his eventual betrayal.

Chapter 3
Lynch infiltrates Tao’s safe house and finds I.O. Black Razors defending it. He dispatches the Black Razors and explores the safe house, realizing Tao may have known the end of the world was coming. As continues his exploration, he runs into Tao who has guards with him and a captured Void.

Chapter 4
Tao reveals to Lynch that he is only a hologram and leads Lynch to believe that he was responsible for the world's current state. He then reveals to Lynch that he has some kind of army and challenges Lynch to try and stop him. Lynch then sets off a beacon that will summon the surviving members of Team 7 to him in order to organize against Tao.
