It began decades ago. A covert government organization, a handful of human guinea pigs, and a top-secret formula known as the Gen-Factor. Exposure to this formula resulted in strange and miraculous abilities. The superpowered subjects of the Gen-Factor Project, along with their progeny, came to be known as Gen-Actives. Now a new quarterly series from WildStorm Productions tells their stories.
Welcome to the world of GEN-ACTIVE. An extra-length, in-continuity anthology series by some of WildStorm's best and brightest, each issue of GEN-ACTIVE features a trio of tales spotlighting a mixture of WildStorm favorites, new faces, absent friends, and even the characters you love to hate. Featuring an exciting high-energy lineup of characters and creative teams, GEN-ACTIVE will contain a mixture of self-contained stories and recurring features. Produced in concert with WildStorm's ongoing series, events in GEN-ACTIVE will have serious repercussions within the WildStorm Universe.

Gen-Active is the name of a comic book anthology-series from Wildstorm. It was published quarterly from 2000 to 2001 and ran for six issues. Gen-Active featured several ongoing storylines, usually starring Gen-Active superheroes and villains in each issue. Many of the stories dealt with the former members of DV8.
