"Teenage Weapons of Mass Destruction." - Gail Simone

Being a teenager can be a strange experience. From emotional and physical changes to dealing with peer pressure and responsibility, it’s a difficult time for everyone. When you’re a twenty-first century kid left to fend for yourself, keeping your head above water seems almost impossible.

Meet Caitlin, Sarah, Roxy, Bobby, and Eddie—five outcast teenagers from different parts of the country who learn quickly they all have something in common—they have abilities far beyond those of their classmates! But are these powers natural gifts or the result of a nefarious experiment headed by the shady government organization International Operations? That’s what these five teens are out to discover…with any luck, staying one step ahead of the government. Life can be pretty tricky when you’re a teenage weapon of mass destruction!

The fourth volume of Gen 13 restarts the series after the events of Captain Atom: Armageddon.

Overview:
In hopes of developing her own unstoppable force of teenages superhumans, International Operations's Ivana Baiul oversaw a top-secret operation dubbed "Gen 13. But John Lynch decided otherwise and helped the kids out of the Genesis Compound in Death Valley.

The kids settled in under Lynch'as tutelage and tried living normal lives. But that never stopped them from getting into various misadventures involving their fellow super beings in the WildStorm Universe and ultimately "dying" in a six-megaton bomb blast!

Years later, a clandestine government agency resurrected the program and cloned special-order teens for the insanely wealthy. This reborn Gen 13 once again escaped custody with the help of the mysterious John Lynch and went on the run before deciding to take down the organization that created them once and for all.

After following an enemy soldier inside a teleporter, Gen 13 ended up trapped in time for several months and missed the end of the world. When they finally escaped the confines of a digital storage facility, the kids found themselves in a sunken Manhattan. On their own, they began their harrowing journey through the blasted landscape of World's End.
