Synopsis

The issue opens with the battle still raging in Kaizen Gamorra's laboratory. Damocles speaks of revenge but Sigma has no idea what he's talking about. Sigma pleads with the others to join forces against Damocles, but there are no takers. Damocles then lets loose with an enormous blast that momentarily takes everyone down. He then notices Dr. Tsung and is surprised...he says, "N-no! It cannot...it cannot be--" Everyone finally agrees that Damocles is the worst threat and they all attack, to little avail. Ivana Biaul tells Threshold to signal the retreat for DV8, but nobody listens...they are too determined to take out John Lynch, whom they believe is responsible for suckering them into Project: Genesis and turning them into freaks.

Le Gauche is making his exit when Deathblow intercepts him and they fight. Le Gauche gets Deathblow at gunpoint and gloats about how he killed Cray's parents. Maggie Monroe shoots the gun out of his hand, giving Deathblow a second chance. They fight some more, Cray talking about fighting for what you believe in while Le Gauche says he kills for money and for the joy of it. Eventually Deathblow stabs him. Le Gauche falls, saying this isn't over, but Cray says that it is and then shoots Le Gauche, killing him.

On the streets of Gamorra City, the Sword of Damocles is strolling in thought. He sees some Stormwatch peacekeepers on patrol and is happy to see a new order of discipline and order. But he feels uneasy, as if he is being watched. He looks around but can't find anyone tailing him.

Back in the lab, the fight continues. Kaizen Gamorra arrives with Minotaur, Gila, and Borgia in tow. He tells Ivana that she and her team can leave safely if they leave Team 7 and Gen 13 to him, and she agrees. Sigma then makes a desperate attempt to take down Damocles by drawing on the gen-factor of all the people in the room to create a unified attack.

At Watchtower Shiva, a monitoring station on the outskirts of Gamorra City, a tinker pulling a cart of electronic wares approaches the Stormwatch guards and tries to sell them electronic equipment. The tinker rips away her robes and it's Cybernary. Backlash and a group of rebels appear from the cart and take down the guards. They fight more guards, then plant explosives and destroy Watchtower Shiva.

Back in the lab, the Sword of Damocles arrives with the Bounty Hunters to help Damocles in the fight. Qeelocke escapes from Hardball's grasp and leaps onto Sigma. Damocles turns to Dr. Tsung and asks if he has a wife and child more precious than life itself, and then Maggie Monroe and Sigma attack while Deathblow gets Tsung to safety. Tsung says Sigma is not ready to beat Damocles yet and that they need to protect him.

Qeelocke begins to glow, and ends up teleporting himself, Sigma, Deathblow, and Dr. Tsung out of the lab. Meanwhile, a virus that Deathblow planted (in Gen 13 Vol 2 #10) activates, killing the rest of Kaizen Gamorra's gen-active clones. The resulting psychic backlash causes Damocles great pain.

Deathblow, Sigma, Dr. Tsung, and Qeelocke find themselves back in Dr. Tsung's laboratory in Berkeley. Tsung's wife and daughter come downstairs and are surprised to find Tsung alive. As they reunite, Deathblow is uneasy about abandoning his friends back on Gamorra.
