Rising from the ashes of StormWatch comes The Authority, a team standing ready to save the Earth from menaces on the vastest possible scale. Shrouded in secrecy, the three superhumans who comprised the ultracovert StormWatch Black — the electric woman known as Jenny Sparks; Jack Hawksmoor, designed by aliens to be the king of cities; and Shen Li-Min, swift and predatory winged woman — are joined by four new superbeings to form Earth's last, best line of defense, dedicated to making the world a better place...by any means necessary.
