Powers/Abilities:
Advanced Military Training: Having served as a Green Beret in the US Army Special Forces, Alex's expertise lies in firearms, demolitions, hand-to-hand combat, scuba diving, skydiving, and counter-insurgency.

Psionics: Alex Fairchild's Gen-Factor given powers were primarily strong telekinetic powers, also known as the Mojo or the Rush among Team 7 members. His mental powers are stronger when other Team 7-members link with him, increasing its strength almost exponentially. He now is capable of: Telekinesis, Telepathy, Empathy, Rapid Cellular Regeneration, Mind Control, Memory Erasing, and Mental Shields that offer protection against other telepaths or other forms of mind-control.

The Rush: The side effects of using this power however are terrible to say the least. It was nicknamed The Rush due to the effect that the use of it is likened unto a drug. Raw, telekinetic, energy twisting and wielding power that if left unchecked can ravage the mind and body of the wielder, driving him to insanity.

SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!
Bio:
Alex Fairchild was a Iowa farm boy who escaped the corn belt by attending West Point. An iconoclast who abhorred bureaucracy, Alex ended up joining the Special Forces - not only because of his roughhousing but also his womanizing ; after sleeping with a general's wife, his career in the "regular" army was crippled before it even started. Soon, he found his home with the Green Berets where he was not only a proficient soldier, but also the "go-to guy" when things needed to get done or found.

He caught the attention of John Lynch, who'd been assigned to put together Team 7 by Miles Craven. When Alex was exposed to the Gen-Factor, he carried out various missions for Craven while he was with Team 7. Soon, he escaped from International Operations (I.O.) when Team 7 disbanded. He went into hiding with the other renegade members (Cash, Chang, Callahan). Things finally cooled down with I.O. when they accepted to do one last mission to save the country's face. Then Cray was left as a kind of hostage to ensure the other would behave. They settled and built families.

But soon, they discovered that Craven was now after their sure-to-be-gifted children. Fairchild took the children to a safe place. He went to Melanesia, to Cordelia, the Coda's matriarch for South East Asia. She owed a favor to the Clan Chang of Hong-Kong and took care of the fleeing Team 7 (minus Callahan who was supposedly dead) and their children (minus Nicole and Matthew Callahan, captured by I.O.). Several years of hiding later, Fairchild, Chang and the kids were brought back to the States as Cordelia could no longer ensure their safety. I.O. was warned of their coming by a Coda traitor in Cordelia's entourage. They were engaged by Black Razors upon landing, but were saved by Deathblow and Gaby. They put the kids in foster homes, near people they could trust.

Yet meanwhile, Craven was dealing with human guinea pigs to test the Gen-Factor. In an attempt to end those experiments, former Team 7 reunited to infiltrate "The Farm" compound. The operation went FUBAR as they encountered heavy resistance in the person of newly activated Gen-actives. But Fairchild had another ace up his sleeve. He got reinforced by Coda warriors. He had called upon Cordelia's help, once more. But this time, he owed her one. So he went to her, offering his services as a mercenary.

When he learned, by Lucius, that Caitlin, his daughter, was on the run and looking for him, he decided to escape Cordelia's influence and went to find her. They reunited in the 'Fire From Heaven' episode. As things didn't go well with Caitlin, he decided it was for the best if he left her to her life, and went freelance. Still feeling bad about it, he came back to her in La Jolla. It was, however too late, as I.O.'s Black Razors had blown the safehouse. Crushed, he offered no resistance to Cordelia's bounty hunters when they got him. He served her again, but with no heart, nearly killing his teammates when he went on missions for her.

Then, someone contacted him, on behalf of Lynch, to tell him that his daughter needed him. He rushed to meet them again. Meanwhile, Freefall and Rainmaker went to NYC to visit Roxy's mother. As Lynch suspected great dangers, he dispatched Fairchild to bring them back. That's when Roxy learned that Alex was her father.

Ultimately, Lynch left Gen 13 to clean the air between he and them, and left the team in the hands of Alex. At this time, Cordelia's bounty hunters were closing in on him. This time, she came personally to bring him back to her service. She took Sarah and Roxy as hostages. The day was saved by the arrival of Tindalos and his new brand of Black Razors, who dispatched the Coda. In a final confrontation, Fairchild tried to kill the psycho, but only managed to consume himself with his own destructive power.

He was buried privately, in the intimacy of his close friends (Gen 13 and Team 7).
